Research Capacity Building Webinar Series
The Center presents its monthly Webinar Series to advance interdisciplinary community-engaged research, support programs and policies to better serve African American children and families, build research capacity and infrastructure to conduct research relevant to enhance ACF program and policy goals, and communicate research findings to a broad audience of community leaders, practitioners, researchers, state and federal policymakers. Ultimately, these webinars will inform approaches to improve the health and well-being of African American children and families.

Objectives
The objectives of the monthly Webinar Series are to describe:
- Relevant research methods can be used to define and measure the needs, assets, and experiences of African American children and families, specifically those with low incomes.
- Community-engaged and other research that identifies and assesses barriers and facilitators of access to and utilization of TANF/poverty alleviation, Head Start/Early Head Start, and child care financial assistance programs by African Americans.
- Promising strategies and approaches in TANF, Head Start/Early Head Start, and child care financial assistance programs for African American children and families.
- Effective strategies for communicating and disseminating relevant research findings that promote the well-being of African American children and families, specifically in areas aligned with ACF’s and The Center’s research priorities.

Academic faculty and student researchers; community-based researchers; community representatives and leaders; practitioners; local, state, and federal program planners, administrators, and policymakers.
